What is Magic Metadata?

Magic Metadata is an Upload Setting you can enable on the Upload page which makes it easy to submit files to Vecteezy by adding titles and keywords to your automatically, so you can focus on doing what you love.

How does Magic Metadata work?

Magic Metadata is generated using AI technology based on your file’s preview.

Be cautious of applying Magic Metadata to videos with multiple subjects or themes as there may be more information than available in the preview.

What files can I upload using Magic Metadata?

You can use Magic Upload for Vectors, Photos, Videos, PNGs, PSDs, and Videos that follow Vecteezy’s Content Guidelines and will be offered under a Free or Pro license.

Files that are not eligible for Magic Metadata include Editorial files, Bundles, and those that don't follow Vecteezy's Content Guidelines.

How do I use Magic Metadata?

Use Magic Metadata in 3 simple steps:

1. Configure your Upload Settings & Upload
   Select “Magic Metadata” for each content type you wish to have metadata automatically applied using AI. You can also set other upload settings at this time, and click “Save’.
   Once you’ve selected Magic Metadata for each content type you’ll upload, you can upload files via Web, FTP, or using a Stock Aggregator.
2. Submit your files from Add Data
   If you do not select “Auto Submit” your files will upload and appear in Add Data where you can attach releases, adjust AI-generated settings, and complete any other required information before you Submit your files. If you choose Magic Metadata, AI-generated Titles and Keywords will be applied after your files are approved and you will not be able to modify the Title or Keywords in Add Data. While your files are in Add Data, you can opt-out of having Magic Metadata applied to add titles and keywords manually or with a CSV.
3. See the magic happen.
   After your files are approved by our review team, Magic Metadata will use innovative AI technology to automatically title and keywords before they are published on Vecteezy, making your files easy for customers to find and download.

Will my CSV or embedded metadata be replaced if I use Magic Metadata?

If you select Magic Upload, it will replace any CSV or embedded metadata for your files. 

However, CSV and embedded metadata may still be captured for additional information in the event Magic Metadata is disabled on the Add Data page. 

Can I change the details on my Magic Metadata files?

You’ll have the option to change your file information on the Add Data page, including the Magic Metadata settings, unless you also enable Auto Submit. 

However, the AI-generated Title and Keywords Magic Metadata may apply to your files can’t be changed after your files are are submitted, unless they need corrections. 

Does Vecteezy promise my files with Magic Metadata will do well?

Magic Upload attempts to optimize your files for Vecteezy customers to discover and download but does not make any guarantees about the performance of your files. How well your files will perform depends on many variables, and the quality of your file is often the most important factor.
