How are PPD Free Earnings Calculated?

PPD Free Earnings Overview

Unlike Pro earnings, Free earnings are paid at a fixed rate per download (the same as Editorial earnings). The given rate is based on the content type submitted, with the current rates as follows: 

• Vectors: $5.00 paid per 1,000 downloads
• Photos: $5.00 paid per 1,000 downloads
• Videos: $10.00 paid per 1,000 downloads

Calculating PPD Free Earnings

To calculate Free Earnings, Vecteezy takes the total number of free downloads a contributor receives for each content type and multiplies this amount by the fixed rate for that content type.

• Total Free vector downloads x $0.005 = amount earned for free vectors
• Total Free photo downloads x $0.005 = amount earned for free photos
• Total Free video downloads x $0.010 = amount earned for free videos
• Amount earned for free vectors + amount earned for free photos +amount earned for free videos = total earned for free content

We use this formula for each contributor monthly to calculate total Free earnings for each contributor.

PPD Free Earnings Examples

Here are two examples that illustrate Free payouts:

Contributor A:

Receives 10,000 free vector downloads in a month and earns $50.00 for that month

• 10,000 free vector downloads received x $0.005 = $50.00

Contributor B:

Receives 250,000 free vector and 100,000 free video downloads in a month and earns $2,250 for that month

• 250,000 free vector downloads x $0.005 = $1,250 free vector earnings
• 100,000 free video downloads x $0.010 = $1,000 free video earnings
• $1,250 + $1,000 = $2,250 total free earnings
