Q: What is Marketplace Distribution?

A: Marketplace Distribution is a powerful new feature that allows you to upload your content to Vecteezy and automatically distribute it to other major platforms, such as Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, FreePik, DepositPhotos, and Alamy—all through the Vecteezy Content Manager. By connecting your FTP accounts, you can streamline the upload process and distribute your approved content effortlessly.

Q: How does Marketplace Distribution work?

A: Marketplace distribution works by following these steps:

1. Connect Your Marketplaces: Use the new Distribution Settings page to connect your FTP/SFTP accounts on other platforms.
2. Set Distribution Preferences: Choose which platforms to distribute your content to after it’s approved by Vecteezy on the Add Data page.
3. Automated Transfer: Once your content is approved on Vecteezy, it will be automatically transferred to the selected platforms and ready for submission.

Q: What are the benefits of using Marketplace Distribution?

A: A few of the the benefits of using Marketplace Distribution include:

1. Save Time and Effort: Upload your content to Vecteezy once, and it will automatically distribute to your other accounts, saving you the effort of uploading to multiple platforms.
2. Maintain Control: Files will be uploaded to your other marketplace accounts, giving you full control over submission and recognition for your content.
3. Customizable Settings: You can fine-tune your distribution preferences on the Distribution Settings page, even adding custom marketplaces, ensuring your content goes exactly where you want it.

Q: What won’t Vecteezy’s Distribution do?

A: Vecteezy’s distribution feature uploads your files to your other marketplace accounts via SFTP/SFTP/FTP. However, it does not:

• Submit files to your other marketplace accounts on your behalf after upload 
• Ensure your files meet other marketplace upload and/or submission requirements
• Notify you if your files fail other marketplace upload validations
• Upload your files to marketplaces (1) that do not support SFTP/FTPS/FTP uploads or (2) that you do not have a personal contributor account already established for.

Q: Can I distribute content to other marketplaces that has already been approved on Vecteezy?

A: Yes! You can manage the distribution status of your already-approved files using the File Distribution page.

Q: How do I set up Marketplace Distribution?

A: To set up marketplace distribution: 

1. Navigate to the Distribution Settings page in the Vecteezy Content Manager.
2. Connect your FTP/SFTP accounts for the platforms you want to distribute to.
3. Once set, your approved files will be automatically transferred to those platforms after they’re approved by Vecteezy.

Q: Does this feature cost anything?

A: No, Marketplace Distribution is completely free for all Vecteezy contributors! By uploading to Vecteezy first, you are automatically eligible to enjoy the benefits of easy and automatic upload to your other marketplace accounts.

Q: What happens if my files fail to transfer to another marketplace?

A: If your files fail to transfer due to issues that may include marketplace connection problems, you will be notified via email so that you can attempt to reconnect your other marketplace accounts, and files will automatically retry distribution for up to seven days. After 7 days, you can manually distribute files at a later date.

Please note, a successful transfer does not mean your files were successfully uploaded to other marketplaces. Similar to other clients like Cyberduck, Filezilla, and Forklift, Vecteezy’s distribution tool transfers your files to your other marketplace accounts via SFTP/FTPS and is not responsible for:

• Ensuring your files meet other marketplace upload requirements
• Notifying you if your files fail upload validations
• Submitting files on your behalf after upload 

Please always log in to your other marketplace accounts to confirm files upload successfully and submit them. 

Q: Can I modify metadata for individual marketplaces?

A: No, by default your Vecteezy’s metadata will be automatically embedded into the files prior to distribution to other marketplaces. You can not customize this metadata for individual marketplaces, but can opt-out of having Vecteezy metadata embedded on the Distribution Settings page.

Q: Will this distribution feature upload my content to other marketplaces immediately after approval?

A: Yes, your content will be distributed to other marketplaces and immediately after approval on Vecteezy. 

Q: What marketplaces are supported?

A: Marketplace Distribution currently supports:

• Shutterstock
• Adobe Stock
• FreePik
• DepositPhotos
• Alamy
• Other custom marketplaces via FTP/SFTP

Q: Can I add custom marketplaces?

A: Yes, you can add custom FTP/SFTP marketplaces through the Distribution Settings page by selecting the “Other” option.

Q: How do I monitor the status of my file distribution?

A: Visit the File Distribution page to monitor the status of your file distribution for all of your approved files.

Q: What categories are eligible for Marketplace Distribution?

A: Currently Vectors and Photos are eligible for Marketplace Distribution, while Videos, PNGs, and PSDs are not
