It’s important to us that you have a good uploading experience on Eezy, so we wanted to share a little bit more about our review process. Here are guidelines for the most frequently discussed topics and questions.
Content Guidelines:
- Commercial value: we look for content that has high commercial value. This is a combination of visual appeal, technical quality, and viability (need for the content). These are images that have a message, are versatile, are technically sound, and can be used by advertisers and publishers to sell a product or service. Think about how our customers (a designer or small company) will use an asset. If you can picture it being used for a web advertisement, email newsletter, or even a book cover, you have a commercial asset.
- Complexity: we accept content that is pleasing to look at, composition that is organized and compelling, and color theory is present and purposeful. Our customers have varied needs. Some require images that convey ideas all on their own (success, friendship, insecurity, etc.) while others need assets that are exactly what they appear to be (people, nature, simple objects, etc.).
- Authenticity: we accept content that is genuine, engaging, and original; content real people can relate to and use. Content that is unnatural or cliché will not be accepted. Customers are always looking for reinventions of the most-used themes.
- Similarity: we accept content with significant aesthetic variation. If you have one piece of work with multiple variations, please select and submit only the best file. Customers can use image series for large and ongoing projects, but they’re too busy to sort through lots of similar assets. If you are going to submit a series of assets, the series should depict a single idea in a variety of different ways.
- Style: we accept content that is current with aesthetic styles and design trends. A vintage aesthetic can be charming, but customers rarely use outdated assets.
- Current or future events: we accept content for current or future events only. If the event has passed, please update the content to reflect a relevant date and time. As noted above in the Style category, customers rarely use outdated assets.
- Adult or sensitive content: at Eezy we keep content family-friendly. Content that is explicit or inappropriate/suggestive in nature will not be accepted. Our customers often have projects that reach a broad audience, so we want to ensure the assets they have to choose from on our site are ideal for a wide variety of eyeballs and suitable for work.
- Trademark, copyright or intellectual property: do not include people, places or things that violate trademark, copyrights or Intellectual property. For example, celebrities, politicians, movie characters or brands. Releases are required for content with recognizable people and/or property. Public domain or derivative art is acceptable, but keep in mind that it tends to be more popular with contributors than with customers. If your work resembles artwork in the public domain, we’ll probably ask you to upload a sketch of your original source material.
- Logo Templates: due to licensing limitations we can only accept logos presented in packs with multiple logo layouts and elements or submissions that include a logo incorporated into a mockup or design concept for marketing material.
- Icons: we can only accept icons when combined in packs of 6 or more elements. We also don’t want huge icon sets with crowded presentations. We like large icon sets if they’re well designed and clean, but prefer small sets of six to ten icons per file. Customers prefer this too, because they can see your icons clearly in the search grid of thumbnails.
- Titles: Titles should be 3 to 8 words long, contain less than 100 characters, be unique to each creative resource, and have the first letter of each word capitalized (excluding small words like “of” and “the”). Well-written, unique titles will help users find and download your files.
- Descriptions: Descriptions should be relevant, accurately describe your file, written in complete sentences, and contain correct punctuation and grammar
- Spamming or adding irrelevant keywords is prohibited
- Keywords: Keywords should be relevant, accurately describe your file, separated with a comma, and not contain misspellings
- 10 keywords required per file, with a maximum of 30 keywords per file
Titles, descriptions, and keywords should not include explicit or inappropriate words, obvious words like “photo”, “video”, “vector” or “graphic”, or subjective words like “brilliant” or “amazing”.
