PPD Free vs. PPD Pro

Vecteezy.com offers files that are free to our customers, as well as files that must be purchased via a subscription or credits. Offering both Free and Pro content allows us to provide the right resources for the creative task at hand, no matter the designer’s skill level or the project’s budget. While there are benefits to both Free licensing and Pro licensing, our contributors have full control to decide which license fits their content best.

Best of all, Vecteezy pays contributors for every download under both Free and Pro licenses. 

Uploading content under Vecteezy’s Free License:

Vecteezy’s PPD Free (Pay-Per-Download Free) program generates earnings based on the total downloads your content received. Earning a rate of $5 per 1,000 total downloads, uploading under our PPD Free program provides an opportunity to serve Vecteezy’s entire audience and receive the most downloads of your content. Content in this program will be reviewed to meet a high level of visual and technical quality standards.
This program is great for contributors who are looking to inspire the creative community, for contributors who are familiar with a standard pay-per-download structure, and for contributors who prefer to have consistent earnings across their entire portfolio.

Benefits of offering content under the Free License:

• Earnings: You earn at a set rate every time one of your vectors is downloaded. This leads to broad and consistent earnings across your entire portfolio. (Learn more about PPD Free earnings, here.)
• Content Availability: Content is available to all users, for free

Uploading content under Vecteezy’s Pro License:

Vecteezy’s PPD Pro (Pay-Per-Download Pro) program generates earnings based on the Pro revenue generated by your content. In this program, revenue is split between the contributor and Vecteezy at a rate of 50/50. Content in this program is sold at a higher price point and will be reviewed to meet the highest visual and technical quality standards.

This program is great for contributors who are familiar with using a subscriber share model and for contributors who do not want their content to be available for free.

Benefits of offering content under the Pro License:

• Earnings: Your earn based on the amount of Pro revenue generated by your vectors. This means that earnings can vary based on the quality and popularity of your vectors; great content = high profit potential! (Learn more about PPD Pro earnings, here.)
• Content Availability: Content is available only to Pro subscribers or through Pro credit purchases

Uploading content under either license:
